Review Recap: Switzerland
Top escape rooms in a fairytale getaway
Last August, I spent 3.5 days in Switzerland. I’m already eager to return to explore the beautiful hiking and picturesque towns that Switzerland is known for — because I spend the entirety of those 3.5 days playing Switzerland’s phenomenal escape rooms.
These games featured brilliant set design, unique theming, and refined storytelling. They were playful, charming, and thoughtfully crafted.
Below is a list of all the reviews and articles I shared on Room Escape Artist from my trip. Whether you’re planning your own trip to Switzerland, already played some of these games and want to compare notes, or are just interested to hear about some far-off adventures you’ll never visit yourself, I hope you enjoy!
Time Maze – Kaleidoscope 1963: “an unforgettable tribute to psychedelic history”
Trip Trap – Aunt Hilda’s Room: “an immaculately charming fairytale world filled with beautiful puzzle reveals in a uniquely compelling setting”
Trip Trap – The House of Uncle Cornelius: “embodied the spirit of adventure, guiding us on a series of unforgettable quests in jaw-droppingly varied environments”
Trip Trap – The Garden of Madame Suzette: “a staggeringly gorgeous game that you should absolutely play”
Tips for a Trip to Trip Trap: highlights from Trip Trap’s other fabulous experiences
Trapgame – Antenna Palace: “a fresh take on the ever-popular multiverse adventure”
Trapgame - West City: “elegant in its efficiency, utilizing every trick in the book to make their hamlet feel like a full city”
Next Level Escape – The Dark Memories of Elisa Doll: “this tantalizingly mysterious sci-fi thriller kept us on edge and intrigued”
Next Level Escape – Secret Tales: The Spooky Fairytale Journey: “a theatrical escape experience that was visually alluring and enigmatically enthralling”
Tying this all together, I also created a Switzerland Recommendations Guide, featuring the above games along with some others that I enjoyed but didn’t review.
Happy puzzling!
Matthew
